The WA regional ASOHNS branch held their annual scientific meeting over the weekend. At this conference, we had the opportunity to discuss the latest treatments and research coming across the horizon in ENT Surgery. The team at Western ENT was well represented here.
Dr’s Sader and Wee discussed their experience in Trans Oral Robotic Surgery in tonsillar and tongue base cancers, as well as cases of surgery for snoring and sleep apnoea. Dr Kuthubutheen presented interesting research regarding his work in looking at the training aptitude of future surgeons and surgical skills. Dr Ling showed how the pericranial flap (scalp tissue) can be introduced into the nasal cavity as part of the reconstruction in anterior skull base tumour resection.
