Dr. Jafri Kuthubutheen was recently invited to present at the annual School of Surgery Research Symposium, held at CTEC in the University of Western Australia. He was joined by four other PhD candidates who also presented their research. Dr. Kuthubutheen presented on the “Role of Preoperative Steroids in Cochlear Implantation”. His recent paper entitled “The role of extended preoperative steroids in hearing preservation cochlear implantation” published in the Hearing Research journal, also won a prize for the best clinical research paper of the year.
